Sowing: mid-Apr to mid-July (open ground) / 0,5-1 cm deep
Germination: 12-21 days 15-22°C
Seed and row spacing: according to seed mat, thinning not necessary
Harvesting: jul-nov.
Beetroot is one of the most valuable autumn vegetables: the tubers are high in digestive substances and vitamins, and also low in calories. 'Pablo' F1-round, juicy, uniformly red. 'Avalanche' round, white, sweet-tasting. 'Boldor' also sweet-tasting, but golden yellow. Can be used cooked as a garnish, side dish or raw in salads and soups. Can be stored in a cool place all winter. It requires moist, humusy soil and a sunny to shady spot.
Place the seed mat, unfolded, on the soil, moisten, cover thinly with soil, press down and water thoroughly again. Never allow the seed mat to dry out. It should not be sown before mid-April.
