Potassium Nitrate Multi-K GG Features:

Multi-K™, the brand name of Haifa's potassium nitrate product line, is the basis for a range of plain and fortified potassium nitrate products. Potassium nitrate is a high quality source of both potassium and nitrogen, which are essential macro-nutrients (primary nutrients) for plants. As high levels of nitrogen and potassium are required for healthy growth, these elements need to be regularly supplied to the soil. That's where Haifa Multi-K™ potassium nitrate-based fertilizers come in.

The role of potassium (K) in the plant:

• It is necessary for the formation of sugars and starch.
• It is an activator of enzymatic reaction.
• Responsible for maintaining optimum turgor levels in plants.

Nitrate facilitates uptake by plants and improves potassium absorption.

Effective source of N: all the nitrogen in Multi-K™ is in the form of nitrate (NO3-).

The presence of nitrate in Multi-K™ allows the plant to minimize chloride uptake when this harmful anion is present in the soil solution or irrigation water. This necessitates the use of Multi-K™ for chloride sensitive plants.
